What security precautions are you taking at this event?
Each one of our volunteers who will have any contact with the girls has undergone a complete background security check.
Do parents/guardians stay with the girls while onsite?
While you are welcome to remain onsite at the high school, there are no facilities for you to remain with the girls during the activities. If you wish to remain in the school vicinity, there are areas for you to sit and read and/or grab something to eat.
What if my child gets sick during this activity?
We have multiple adults Red Cross certified in first aid and CPR onsite. In the event your child doesn’t feel well, we will immediately seek out any necessary medical assistance and contact you directly to let you know what is happening.
Where is Research Triangle High School?
Research Triangle High School is located at 3106 E. NC 54, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. You can visit their website by clicking here. If your GPS tells you it is in Durham, NC, that is accurate as well.
Are scholarships available?
There are a limited number of scholarships available for Celebrate My Gifts. It is important to us that all girls who are interested in participating have the opportunity to do so. Please contact Ann Jagger for more information and to complete an application.
Is Celebrate My Gifts open to girls with special needs?
We want Celebrate My Gifts to be open to all girls 8 – 12 years old. We determined we needed to require that all girls participating in this event’s activities be able to be there on their own.
What is the level of supervision?
You can feel confident that your girls will be well supervised. We have one volunteer for every five-six girls. In addition, we have volunteers in the hallways and girls will be escorted to the restrooms. All volunteers and girls will have a picture ID.
